Love, Gravity, and Forgiveness

We know what these things are but to define them... maybe love and gravity are simply different forms of the same energy? If you want to see the brave, look to those who can return love for hatred. If you want to see the heroic, look to those that can forgive.

Much like gravity, love is a force that moves things together. Sort of like a cosmic allurement, it's an energy that gives us a sense of feeling connected to one another, no matter how far apart we may appear to be.

People's perception can be shaded by lots of emotions and feelings. But there's a deep level of love that two people may possess that can't be defined or severed, no matter how far apart they appear. Even when my husband's choices separated and destroyed us, and now, even death, it may seem our physical distance is vast. Yet in meditation, when I focus inward and connect to my purest thread of self-love, it possesses strength and connection that will remain forever rooted like gravity.

Forgiveness speaks to the question of identity and what it means to have the capacity to let go of who we sense our 'self' to be – to release or let go of the drama in our life and maintain the freedom to choose our spirit.

Forgiveness is the ability to let go of the burdens of the past and choose the mystery of love of the self and the love around you. This is what I'm doing today. Self-love restores the love lost, leaving me in better understanding that, much like gravity, it's a constant force that connects me to the human experience even when drama wants to pull it apart.
