Grief is Part of Forgiveness

It is our ability to give up hope for a better past. Without forgiveness, life is unbearable. Living in the now and being present can't happen without acceptance and forgiveness. We would be chained to the suffering of the past. There would be no release. If you can’t bear it yourself, you put it onto others. You project your pain onto another with endless oceans of suffering.

Feeling grief and finding forgiveness permits us to love and be free and sometimes it’s a tearing open of the heart protector. Grief causes us to be closer to the gods. Sometimes the things that make us vulnerable bring us back to what’s important.

Our heart depends on it to stay alive.
